ID Contact

ID Contact is the result of an innovation pilot by the municipalities of Arnhem, Nijmegen and the Drechtsteden in collaboration with our partners spearheaded by Erik van den Heuvel and aided by the HAN and me. With ID Contact, every resident can easily and securely identify themselves remotely and exchange personal data reliably via telephone, chat or video.

A better, more accessible and safer online experience

ID Contact is an innovation pilot of the municipalities of Arnhem, Nijmegen and the Drechtsteden. User studies also involve residents who, for example, are less digitally skilled or have a visual impairment. This makes ID Contact approachable and accessible for every resident.

Authentication tool

After testing many iterations of prototypes with the researchers from the HAN (University of Applied Sciences) we decided on a version that was the most user friendly. It gave users the chance to try out the authentication tool instead of overwhelming them with information on how to use it. Most users mentioned it was easy to use and that they would use it again because it saved time going to the city office.
